Offered here is a handsome white home jersey from the great slugger Mark McGwire during his tenure with the Oakland A's. The man who launched home runs at the highest consistency rate in Major League Baseball history wore this jersey during his third season in 1988, a campaign in which the reigning A.L. Rookie of the Year batted .260 with 32 home runs and 99 RBI to help the A’s reach the World Series. On the inside front left tail is a Rawlings Size 48 tag with washing instructions. Attached below it is a “2 Inch Extra Length” tag and to the right a separate flag tag reading “SET 1 1988.” Across the chest reads “ATHLETICS" in green tackle will script outlined in yellow. His uniform number “25” appears in like fashion just below the team name and across the back of the jersey in larger, eight-inch tall numerals. Across the back reads “McGWIRE” in green tackle twill sewn onto a white nameplate. It has the customized Velcro swatch between the second and third buttons. The right sleeve has the “Rawlings” name embroidered in green while the left sleeve includes the team’s longtime elephant logo patch. The jersey is properly tagged and shows some game use.
