This lot features a game-worn Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap worn by the late, great Don Drysdale during the mid-to-late 1960s (’65 to ’69). Drysdale’s career came to an abrupt halt during the summer of 1969 due to a torn rotator cuff. The Tim McAuliffe brand pro cap, size 7 ½, shows wear and tear and would have been worn by “Big D” during a great stretch of his career when he posted 68 wins and struck out 762 batters to average 14 wins and 152 K’s per year. The Dodgers’ patented “LA” logo appears on the front of the cap embroidered in white.
Includes LOA from the Drysdale Family.
