The City of Los Angeles hosted the Summer Olympics Games in 1984, marking the first time in 52 years that the City of Angels had hosted the Olympics. World-renowned sports artist Leroy Neiman was commissioned to paint an “Opening Ceremonies” original celebrating the L.A. Games. This lot features a limited edition (Limited to 18) serigraph print proof of Neiman’s original work of art. Autographed in pencil by the famous artist on the bottom right and marked "PP" on the bottom left, the colorful serigraph measures 47” wide by 33” high and has been beautifully framed and matted behind Plexiglas. Its overall measurements are 55” wide by 41” high. This piece was originally appraised for $2,450 in 1987.
