This select pair of 1988 original photographs of Michael Jordan were used for his famous Wheaties boxes that flooded supermarkets everywhere. Sourced from a former employee of Dahl and Curry, the Minneapolis-based graphic arts production company contracted by General Mills, these original proofs are from a 1988 photo shoot taken in a studio and a rented gymnasium. The first measures 10 1/4" by 9 11/16" and shows a smiling Michael pouring himself a bowl of flakes (from a box that portrays him as well). The second measures 10 5/8" by 9" and shows him flying through the atmosphere with ball in hand. General Mills used 18 different depictions of MJ for his Wheaties boxes, the most of any athlete before or since. An image of a final production box using one of these proofs is shown for reference.

Includes copy of a signed LOA from General Mills contractor detailing the entire process. Each photo has been certified by PSA/DNA as a Type 1.
