Basketball standout Otis Birdsong was a 6' 3" guard who starred at the University of Houston and was selected by the Kansas City Kings with the second overall pick of the 1977 NBA Draft. He spent four seasons with the Kings and averaged a career high 24.6 points per game during the 1980-81 NBA season. He also played seven seasons with the New Jersey Nets and one with the Boston Celtics, and ended his NBA career in 1989 with 12,544 career points.

This lot features Birdsong’s circa 1978-81 Kansas City Kings game-worn blue road jersey. The jersey exhibits good game use with some noticeable peeling at the edges of both the ironed-on-white-with-red-outline uniform numbers and Kansas City script logo across the front. The front left tail contains the Kansas City-Omaha Kings Sand-Knit sewn-on size 42 manufacturer’s tag and washing instructions tag. His last name – “BIRDSONG” – is ironed on in white capital letters across the back of the jersey, right below the No. 10.

Includes LOA from MEARS.
