1973 New York Mets National League Championship 12 karat gold-plated pendant bracelet presented to the wife of then Mets General Manager Bob Scheffing. The baseball lifer served many years as a scout for the Mets before rising to Director of Player Development and eventually GM from 1970-74. The '73 Mets were one of the more fortunate teams in baseball history, finishing with a 82-79 record to claim the NL East division. Their .509 winning percentage remains the lowest of any pennant winner in MLB history. They lost a tight seven-game series to Oakland in the World Series. The bracelet features a 1 1/8" in diameter pendant with a raised image of the New York Mets skyline logo on the front. The back is engraved "YOU GOTTA BELIEVE" (pitcher Tug McGaw's catchphrase) and "1973 NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS". One clasp stamped "1/20 12K". Other clasp has "LGB" and "1/20 12K". Weight 16 grams.
