Presented here is a game-used ONL (Giles) baseball from the June 4, 1968 game in which Los Angeles Dodger Hall of Fame pitcher Don Drysdale threw his record 6th consecutive complete game shutout of the season. This record stands unmatched today with almost no chance that it will ever be broken based on modern-day five-man rotations and conservative pitch counts for starters. Big Don allowed just three hits and did not walk a batter against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates in the Big Blue's 5-0 victory at Dodger Stadium. It was the 2nd to last start of his then-record 58 2/3 scoreless innings streak. On a side panel Drysdale has written "6TH STRAIGHT SHUTOUT LA 5 - PITT 0 6-4-68". Ball displays excellent game use.

Includes LOA from the Drysdale family.
