Even 13 seasons after retiring, former Utah Jazz point guard John Stockton remains the NBA’s career assist leader with 15,806. This lot features a 1990-91 Utah Jazz game-worn sweater/warm-up jacket that is attributed to Stockton. The Champion button-down purple sweater, size 44, includes the patented Jazz logo sewn on in yellow tackle twill on the left breast with yellow, green and white wrap-around strips near the bottom. The sewn-on NBA embroidered logo man patch resides on the right chest area. Proper tagging exists on the inside rear collar including the Champion manufacturer’s label and size, accompanied by a “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Utah Jazz” tag as well as three sewn-on tags reading “90,” “2”LB,” “2”LS” and a separate white tag that is marked “12” in black marker, Stockton’s uniform number. A second, larger Jazz logo sewn on in yellow tackle twill appears on the back. For the record, during the 1990-91 season, Stockton averaged 17.2 points and 1 league-leading 14.2 assist per game.
