Grant Hill, the NBA’s 1994-95 Rookie of the Year for the Detroit Pistons, played a stellar 18 seasons that included seven All-Star appearances before he announced his retirement in June of 2013. This lot features his 1998-99 Pistons game-worn warm up jacket from the NBA lockout-shortened season in which the 6'8" small forward averaged 21 points with 7 assists and 6 rebounds per game--a triple-double threat every night. He scored at a career-high 25.8 ppg clip the following season, before ankle injuries began to hamper him and change his style of play. The white front of the Nike button-down warm-up has Hill's No. "33" in teal-on-gold-on-black tackle twill sewn on the right chest, with the Pistons team logo and "GRANT" sewn on the right. On the black reverse is "PISTONS" in white tackle twill with a teal, black and gold design in the letters. The Nike manufacturer's tagging with size 3XL appears inside the collar with a "LENGTH +4/Made in USA" flag tag. Inside the left seam near the tail is a Nike "1998-99" year tag and washing instructions. The thick, heavy jacket shows light to moderate wear. Rare style worn by a basketball superstar whose outstanding college career at Duke and excellent pro career could earn him a spot in the Hall of Fame someday.
