Program for the Oct. 6, 1945 Navy American League vs. National League All-Star Baseball Series played at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii from the personal collection of life long baseball man Bob Scheffing. Top of program cover features 4 battleships in a line with the words "Her Comes the Navy" in script. Bottom features big guns being fired with "Souvenir Program for the Fleet" and "Fourteenth Naval District Furlong Field C H A III". Back page has photo of both teams lined up before the game on the base lines. Photos of all the players are pictured with group shots of the pitchers for both teams. Nice full page article "The Navy's Own World Series" is on page 7. The facsimile autographs of all players are also present. Photos and biographies of 3 top Naval officials are also included. Insides in nice condition. Program has not been scored. Front cover excellent with small Bob Scheffing signature in upper left corner. Back page has some paper loss to one side but displays nicely.

Game used baseball signed by 10 members of Navy Baseball All-Star series who played in the final game of the series. All those who have signed the ball played in the major leagues at one time. They are Stan Musial(HOF), Billy Herman(HOF), Bob Scheffing, Mizell Platt, Charlie Gilbert, Jim Carlin, Henry Schenz, Ray Hamrick, Lou Tost, and Wimpy Quinn. On the ball an unknown hand has written "Last Ball pitched in Navy league National (4) American (3) Oct. 6, 1945 NAVY". Very readable about 6/10 overall signatures on an evenly soiled Rawlings Official League U. S. N. baseball. Pair of very rare World War II related baseball items!

Includes Letter of Provenance from Bob Scheffing's son. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
