Elegant woven tapestry celebrating the 1936 Summer Olympic Games in Berlin. The intricately-detailed, multi-color textile piece measures 71" by 26" (180cm by 66cm) and depicts a lovely 1936-era view of the Berlin Cathedral and Berlin Castle, with the Spree River in the foreground. "Olympische Spiele 1936" (Olympic Games, translated in English) appears at the top with "Berlin" at the bottom. These tapestries are quite rare to find in the market. This one comes in EX condition with some fraying in the fabric.
