“Don Drysdale Day” was held at Dodger Stadium on September 27, 1969. One of the many awards Drysdale received that night was from the So. California Sports Broadcasters’ Association. Offered here is the actual marble-based pen set that the Broadcasters’ Assn. awarded Drysdale, complete with a miniature horse on top and a gold-plated plaque that in part reads: “Presented to BIG ‘D’ OF THE DODGERS You’ve Always Been a Winner with Us.” It includes the date: Sept. 27, 1969.
