WTA superstar Maria Sharapova wore the offered match-worn white tank top here during a 2004 World TeamTennis (WTT) Pro League match while competing for the Newport Beach Breakers. The World Team Tennis Pro League presented by Advanta was entering its 29th season of play in 2004. The Nike Sphere Dri-Fit top includes the Breakers’ embroidered logo on the right front breast area with the embroidered WTT logo positioned one-and-a-half inches above it. A black Nike swoosh appear on the left shoulder strap and the rear outside collar boasts an embroidered American flag. Her last name – SHARAPOVA” – appears in black ironed-on letters across the shoulders. She has signed the front left breast area in fine-point black marker, although the signature appears less than stellar as the marker didn’t stay firmly planted on the tank top while she signed it. Due to this, PSA has deemed the signature inconclusive.
