Run TMC was the high-scoring trio of basketball teammates consisting of Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin. Starting in 1989, they played together for two seasons with the Golden State Warriors, playing a fast-paced, run-and-gun style. Run TMC was the league's highest-scoring trio in the 1990–91 season. Despite their short time together, the popularity of Run TMC endured. Their name was a play on words a la the hip-hop group Run–D.M.C., with the first name initials of each member forming "TMC".
The Size 13 1/2 Nike white leather shoes are in standout condition, showing good game use but otherwise are problem-free and seemingly as-issued. The red leather Nike Swoosh on the sides is in the same remarkable condition, as is the Nike Air logo on the outside above the heel and the tagging on the top of the tongue. The Hall of Famer Mullin has signed in a bold black Sharpie, adding the personalization "To Big Bill, Best Wishes" and the variant "Good Luck" on the other.
Mitch Richmond's tri-colored Adidas Torsion shoes show a bit more wear, including the loss of a tiny piece of the yellow leather striping on the inside of the left shoe, but are otherwise problem-free. Richmond has signed in a finer point on the white leather panel near the top of the heel, adding his No. 23 and the personalization "To Daniel."
The Hardaway shoes (circa 1985-89) are from his time at the University of Texas-El Paso, where he was the 1989 WAC Player of the Year. The Converse Cons orange-and-white leather shoes are in fine condition, showing good game use and otherwise problem-free and largely as-issued. The five-time NBA All-Star has signed the left side of each heel, adding the inscriptions "To Big Bill" and "UTEP Basketball"; the signature on the right shoe has suffered a good bit of fading but remains legible.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from renowned shoe collector, Bill Ficke.
