Making his mark in the Bronx Pinstripes, Sabathia was one of the key off-season additions to the Yankees roster in 2009. Throughout the regular season, he put together a 19-8 log with a 3.37 ERA. In the World Series, Sabathia put together a 3.29 ERA in 13 2/3 innings of work.
This glove is a Nike Pro Gold Tradition model glove, with "RIP NB" embroidered into thumb (for a cousin of Sabathia's who passed) and Sabathia's jersey number, 52, stitched onto the wrist of the glove next to the embroidered Nike logo. This glove exhibits good game wear and appears broken in. Sabathia has signed the glove with "Game Used 2009" right next to his autograph on the thumb, with some bleeding of the signature and inscription evident.
