Jose Canseco was the first guy to combine power and speed to the tune of 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases. While some had come close to achieving this lofty mark, Canseco became the president and founder of the exclusive 40/40 Club in 1988. Representing the pinnacle of Canseco's illustrious career, is the polarizing slugger’s 1988 Oakland A’s game worn home jersey. Rawlings (size 46) tag on interior tail shows faded “33” written on it in black marker with adjacent “2 Inch Extra Length” tag. The jersey exhibits definitive use, including light perspiration stains and minor soiling. All of the identifiers are sewn on in two-color tackle twill. "CANSECO" is sewn to a nameplate on back. The green elephant team patch is present on the left shoulder. Confirming the prominence and usage of this particular jersey, Canseco has signed and inscribed below the front left breast in black felt tip marker, "Jose Canseco Gamer 40/40 Season ‘88’ MVP." Several small holes are present on the front and back of each sleeve from having been framed. A terrific game used relic from Canseco's truly historic and record-setting MVP season! Accompanied by several Letters of Authenticity including one signed by Canseco himself.

Additional LOA from MEARS (A10).

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
