Magnificent, 16" by 42" October 16, 1909 panoramic supplement from the Pittsburgh Illustrated Weekly picturing the "Opening Game of the Championship Series" played at Forbes Field on October 16, 1909 between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Detroit Tigers. Top portions has 3 large views, from the left and right wing grandstands with game action as seen behind home plate at the center. Below are panoramic images of both teams with all players identifies with their names below. Hall of Famers Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Sam Crawford, Fred Clarke, Vic Willis, and Hughie Jennings are all pictured. Framed to a size of 22" by 47". Vintage ornate gold colored wood frame has one chip to gold paint at top center. Beautiful display piece!
