This intriguing pair of Converse All-Star Chuck Taylor shoes clearly shows good game use, it's just bewildering to imagine the circumstances of a game that might involve Bill Murray (aka Carl Spackler), he of considerable fame and fortune from the entertainment arena but also much renowned as a sports fan nonpareil, with legendary affection for baseball, basketball and football in general and the Chicago pro teams - most notably the Cubbies - in particular.
So Murray provided the game use (possibly in a celebrity game during NBA All-Star Weekend) and the autographing merriment for these classic size 10 1/2 Converse All Star shoes. On the right shoe the black Sharpie covers much of the outside panel: "Big Bill, Give these to a prospect, Little Bill Murray". On the outside of the left shoe: "Big Bill, These smell funny, I need another pair", signed "Bill Murray". Truly a mirthful mixing of sports entertainment from a beloved figure, fictional or otherwise. Aside from the aforementioned game use, the shoes appear to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from shoe collector, Bill Ficke.
