In yet another reasonably coherent blurring of the line between sports and entertainment, here are two artifacts from the feature film "Any Given Sunday," is 1999 American drama film directed by Oliver Stone depicting a fictional professional American football team. The film features an ensemble cast, consisting of Al Pacino, Cameron Diaz, Dennis Quaid, Jamie Foxx, James Woods, LL Cool J, Matthew Modine, John C. McGinley, Charlton Heston (its a rule he must be in all football movies), Ann-Margret, Lauren Holly, Bill Bellamy, Aaron Eckhart, Elizabeth Berkley, Marty Wright, and legendary NFL players Jim Brown and Lawrence Taylor. Cameo roles also featured many former American football players, including Dick Butkus, Y. A. Tittle, Warren Moon, Johnny Unitas, Ricky Watters, Emmitt Smith and Terrell Owens, as well as coach Barry Switzer.
The Wilson football appears to have had some usage; it contains "official" markings on two panels of the fictional Associated Football Franchises of America, a mouthful that only a lawyer could love. Cutter Buck tagged shirt also has an adjacent "L/G" tag and embroidery on the front left breast noting "Any Given Sunday in red above the film's log and "An Oliver Stone Film - Film Crew 1999" below. Both pieces appear to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the film company.
