Rawlings batting helmet and Cooperstown bat signed by some of the greatest players (and manager) to put on the Oakland Athletics uniform. All signatures and inscriptions appear in perfect 10/10 pen in various colors. Very unique lot to honor one of baseball's most successful franchises, especially during their magical 1972-74 run when they won three straight World Series titles.

The Cooperstown Bat Co. Team Series Oakland A's bat features a lovely A's logo on the barrel with a nice snapshot of the franchise's origins and championship resume. Autographs and, if added, inscriptions in blue and black include: "Jim Catfish Hunter", "Rollie Fingers W.S. MVP 74", "Dennis Eckersley MVP Cy Young 1992", "Bert Campaneris", "Mark McGwire 87 Roy 49 HRS", "Tony LaRussa," "Joe Rudi 72,73,74", "Terry Steinbach 88 All-Star MVP!", "Walt Weiss 88 R.O.Y." and "Bob Welch".

The Oakland A's replica batting helmet made by Rawlings, size 7 1/4 with left ear flap, has the following autographs and inscriptions: "Jim Catfish Hunter 1974 Cy Young", "Rollie Fingers 1981 Cy Young & MVP", "Vida Blue 1971 MVP 1971 Cy Young", "Dennis Eckersley MVP Cy Young 1992", "Bert Campaneris", "Mark McGwire", "Rickey Henderson", "Tony LaRussa Mgr of Yr '83 '88 '92", "Walt Weiss 88 R.O.Y." and "Bob Welch 1990 Cy Young".

The items in this lot were part of Bill Albert's memorabilia collection. Albert worked as a staff photographer for the San Jose Giants minor league baseball club (Giants single A affiliate) and did freelance photography for the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A's where he developed many relationships with Bay Area professional athletes.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
