From two players who personified power and grace with their bats in the 1990's, we have some items that were part of the action. Alex Rodriguez wore these white Nike batting gloves in the latter part of the decade as a member of the Seattle Mariners. 'AROD' is sewn into the fabric on each index finger and A-Rod himself has signed each glove twice - the knuckle on top and the palm on the bottom in 8-9/10 black pen. Both gloves are clean on top and filthy with dirt stains on the bottom. There's no question A-Rod stole some bases with these things. Maybe they were part of his 40-40 season in 1998. Certificate of Authenticity from Mill Creek Sports Cards included.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

The black Reebok batting gloves and wristband were worn by Frank Thomas in 1995 when he was slugging home runs for the Chicago White Sox. He batted .308 with 40 big flies, 111 RBI and a league leading 136 walks in a typical All-Star season for the future hall of famer. His 'BIG HURT' nickname brands each glove and his #35 patch is sewn on the sweatband. Plenty of game use visible in both items. LOA's from the previous owner's company, California Sports Investments, are included.

Note about consignor/collector: Bill Albert worked as a staff photographer for the San Jose Giants minor league baseball club (Giants single A affiliate) and did freelance photography for the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A's where he developed many relationships with professional athletes. He was also a relentless pursuer of autographs at trading card and autograph shows.
