Awesome Pittsburgh Steelers throwback jersey worn by their longtime star wide receiver Hines Ward in a November 14, 2010 home game vs. the New England Patriots. Ward also signed and inscribed the jersey. This game was not the most memorable one for the Steelers or Ward as they lost the game 39-26 and his streak of 186 consecutive games with at least one catch came to an end (due primarily to being knocked out of the game on a hit by Patrick Chung and James Sanders).
This size 40 black Reebok jersey with yellow striped sleeves features Ward's #86 on the front and back in yellow-gold tackle twill. Ward has signed the '6' on the back in black marker with the inscription "GAME WORN 11-14-10 vs PATS". Sleeves have Reebok patch with elastic hem. The NFL Equipment logo patch is sewn below neck. On back is 'WARD' stitched in yellow-gold tackle twill on a black nameplate. The '10-40' tagging sewn inside neck indicates year worn and size. There is a J.O. Sports tag with "Hines Ward Pittsburgh Steelers 11/14/10 vs. New England Patriots" and hologram sticker attached to front inside left.
The jersey shows light game use. Slight dark discoloration on front '6', no pilling, and a little fraying on the numbers. It is largely as-issued in problem-free condition. A future hall of famer in many eyes, Hines Ward is truly a Steelers legend.
It comes with a COA from J.O. Sports with matching hologram identifiers.
