Here we have a 2010 San Diego Chargers Darren Sproles gamer worn during the Chargers 41-10 rout of the Arizona Cardinals at Qualcomm Stadium on October 3, 2010. The electric 5'6" 180 lb. back was used primarily as a returner in this game as he rushed 6 times for 17 yards and racked up 70 punt/kick return yards. It was the only game of the 2010 season that Sproles did not have a reception. He would finish the year with 59 catches for 520 yards.
The size 44 S navy Reebok jersey has his number '43' on the front, back, and shoulders in white tackle twill with yellow and powder blue outline. Sleeves feature Chargers' lightning bolt logo along with Reebok patches. Sleeves also have elastic hem as does the bottom of the jersey. NFL Equipment logo patch under the neck and 'CHARGERS' logo patch just below that. On back 'SPROLES' is stitched in white tackle twill on a navy nameplate. '10-44 S' tagging sewn inside neck indicates year worn and size. There is a J.O. Sports tag with "San Diego Chargers 10/3/10 vs. Arizona Cardinals" and a hologram sticker on front inside left near the laundry tag.
The jersey shows heavy game use. A strong grass stain appears on back '4'. Chalk and other marks from getting tackled or hit appear on front '4' and '3'. The reddish marks there could be the Cardinals team colors rubbing off or even blood. There is some fraying on the elastic hem of the right sleeve, but not much elsewhere. Hardly any pilling. A true gem of game use from one of the NFL's shortest, quickest, and most exciting all-purpose backs.
