Here's is an impressive full game-worn uniform from the Dolphin's legendary quarterback, Dan Marino, the last quarterback of the Quarterback Class of 1983 to be taken in the first round. Marino held or currently holds dozens of NFL records and is recognized as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. Best remembered for his quick release and powerful arm, Marino led the Dolphins to the playoffs 10 times in his seventeen-season career. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005.
This stunning white-mesh jersey with as much evidence of game wear as one might suppose was possible, including dirt front and back. As was the custom, the right sleeve was custom tailored to give Marino's passing arm a wide and comfortable swath, and this section like so much if the shirt and pants, shows considerable wear. The jersey has "13" screened onto the front and back in aqua and orange and "Marino" screened in aqua on back. Marino has signed his name and "13" in a blazing orange Sharpie on the back "1", a color that perfectly matches team color and leaps off the shirt with a vibrant 9/10. "Wilson Prestige" tag appears on the front tail, with adjacent "92" embroidered (agua) tag and Size "48" and "EV" small flag tags attached to the Wilson tagging. The sleeves feature the Dolphins logo screening and embroidered orange "W" Wilson logo patch. Marino's No. 13 appears on the front, back and on both shoulders in agua and orange tackle twill. The “NFL EQUIPMENT” patch is on the front V-Neck. "Marino" appears on back in aqua screening on an white nameplate.
The aqua pants and socks are an attractive complement, showing light game use and boasting yet another striking signature from the Hall of Famer, this time in black Sharpie along the front of the left leg, with No. 13 inscription added,. Wilson-tagged on the inside of the waist, there are also small flag tags attached of "Long" and "EV" and a handwritten notation in black marker on the waist of "13-1-92" in large block numerals.
