ADDENDUM: THIS IS A STUB< NOT A FULL TICKET

November 3, 1899 World Heavyweight Championship ticket stub to the fight between Champion James Jeffries and challenger "Sailor Tom" Sharkey, held at the New Coney Island Sporting Club in New York. The fierce and often brutal bout went the full 25 rounds with Jeffries retaining his title by a unanimous decision. In the fight Sharkey suffered a broken nose and two broken ribs, with his left ear swelling to the size of a grapefruit. Fight was postponed from October 27, 1899, the date printed on the ticket stub, until November 3, 1899. Interestingly this would be the first World Championship fight filmed for motion pictures. The lights required for the camera were so hot that they burned the hair from the top of both fighters' heads. Stub displays beautifully with the main problem being one vertical crease at the center, which does not break the front surface paper. The only ticket to this fight, full or stub, ever graded by PSA.
