PSA AUTHENTIC Full $50 Working Press Ticket to the World Heavyweight Championship Fight between Champion Jack Dempsey and challenger Georges Carpentier held at Boyle's Thirty Acres in Jersey City, New Jersey, on July 2, 1921 before a crowd of 91,000. This fight between "The Manassa Mauler" and the popular Frenchman, a World War I hero, generated the first $1,000,000 gate in boxing history. The heavily favored Dempsey, after starting slowly the first 2 rounds, began to brutally beat the challenger, ending the fight by knocking out Carpentier with a right hook to the head in the 4th. Pair of additional ticket stubs have been stapled over that part of the ticket. Many creases with some staining along the top edge. Triangle of paper loss at the lower right front. One of only 2 PSA AUTHENTIC tickets to this fight with only one FR 1.5 graded higher.
