VG PSA 3 Full Unused Ticket to the World Heavyweight Championship Fight between Champion Jack Sharkey and challenger Primo Carnera held at Madison Square Garden Bowl, Long Island on June 29, 1933. Employee ticket is printed with "Photo Stand". Carnera, a 6' 5 1/2" 275 pound giant took the title by knocking out Sharkey in the 6th round with an upper cut that most boxing people say never landed. This brought into questions about fight fixing and mob connections. Some boxing historians believe that most of Carnera's fights were fixed so he could win. Budd Schulberg's novel, "The Harder They Fall", tells a tale about a boxer whose fights are fixed, very similar to Carnera's career. Ticket clean front and back with small diagonal crease at upper right corner. Edge wear is more evident on the reverse. The highest graded and only regular full ticket to this fight.
