After a Hall of Fame worthy 10-year career with the Houston Oilers - to say nothing of a similarly exemplary 6-year stint in the Canadian Football League before that - one might have supposed that a 37-year-old Warren Moon might be running out of gas, or maybe oil. Whatever the rationale, Houston traded their Pro Bowl quarterback to the Minnesota Vikings, and he promptly responded with two more Pro Bowl campaigns and would have added a third before a broken collarbone shelved him midway through the 1996 season. This remarkable artifact is from that first season in Minnesota when Moon passed for another 4,264 yards and 18 touchdowns. The jersey is a lightweight, white mesh with spandex underarms and ribbing. The shirt boasts Viking purple and gold ribbed knit sleeve ends and white V-neck collar. The NFL's 75th Anniversary patch appears below the left shoulder. Purple and gold tackle twill No. 1's appear front and back and on each sleeve, along with Moon's tackle twill nameplate on the back. The Russell Athletic label with Size 44 is affixed to the left front tail. The jersey shows appropriate game use and is essentially as-issued and problem-free, jostled barely a white by some light staining of the gold on the left sleeve.

LOA from Warren Moon.
