Interesting sterling silver ring from one of the darker pages in Olympic history. Offered is one of the rings given out by Reich Sports Minister Hans von Tschammer und Osten, who was in charge of all Nazi Party and Wermacht participation at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. These rings were given out to people that the Sports Minister chose to honor, often for accomplishment in sports, contributions, sponsorships, and other great efforts to bring the Olympic Games to Berlin. Top of the ring features a large swastika, on top of the Reich's Sports Eagle with the 5 Olympic Rings below. All are set atop a brownish/yellow stone. Both sides of the ring have oak leaves. Inside stamped with small "935". Size 9 1/4.

Letter from Advanced Collector of German Militaria.
