1976 Chicago White Sox white home jersey game worn by Hall of Fame closer Goose Gossage. 1976 saw the White Sox attempt to turn Gossage into a starter, with not so good results. He finished the season with a 9-17 record in 29 starts, 15 complete games and a somewhat respectable 3.94 ERA. Unusual jersey paired with the famous short pants used in 1976 during flamboyant owner Bill Veeck's tenure. White jersey with large, wide blue collar. "CHICAGO" in blue old style lettering sewn across the front. "Gossage" in the same style and a large "54" sewn in blue on back. Rawlings size 44 tag sewn in collar. Jersey displays moderate use. Gossage has signed the front of the jersey with the inscription "HOF 2008" in blue sharpie.
LOA from Goose Gossage.
