Last American flag to fly over the Polo Grounds before the New York Giants move to San Francisco in 1958. Flag was originally obtained by the consignor's father, who was a Captain of the ushers for many years at the Polo grounds. Under his guidance, one of the responsibilities of the Polo Ground ushers was to raise the flags and set up any bunting at the appropriate areas of the ball park. When the Giants left, he was given the flag by them for his many years of service as a souvenir. The consignor himself worked as an usher at the Polo Grounds under his father. The flag has been in the possession of the family ever since. Flag measures 4' by 6' and displays heavy use.

LOA from consignor.
