Very well done vintage caricature portrait of New York Yankee Hall of Fame Legend Babe Ruth by famed international caricaturist Vincenzo Maria Zito, known simply as Zito. Ruth has signed the 7 3/8" by 10 1/4" piece in perfect looking, 9-10/10 black steel tip fountain pen "To Zito Sincerely Babe Ruth". In addition to the large portrait Zito has also drawn a small full body image of Ruth in uniform at the upper right hand corner. Piece in overall very nice condition with a small stain on the upper left edge, some light toning along the right and bottom edge, with a few light wrinkles toward the lower left corner. Will look fantastic framed!
Also included is a 7 1/2" by 10 3/4" unsigned vintage caricature portrait of Babe Ruth also drawn by Zito. Large batting pose of Ruth dominates the piece with a small facial caricature at the upper left corner. Zito has written "B. Ruth" in pencil at right center. Small stain at upper left edge, larger stain at lower right edge, with bottom left corner crease.
