This is a rare piece of patriotic baseball memorabilia from the 1984 Summer Olympic Games held in Los Angeles, California. The baseball contains 20 signatures (all but two recognizable) of the 1984 USA Baseball team, including Mark McGwire, Will Clark and 2012 Hall of Fame inductee Barry Larkin. Other identifiable players are: Sid Adkins, Don August, Scott Bankhead, Bob Caffrey, Mike Dunne, Chris Gwynn, John Hoover, Shane Mack, John Marzano, Oddibe McDowell, Pat Pacillo, Cory Snyder, B.J. Surhoff, Bill Swift, and Bobby Witt. All autographs appear 7/10 in blue ballpoint pen. The baseball is the official game ball made by Rawlings that is used in Olympic team play. It is unknown whether this particular ball was used during a Team USA game. The baseball is very well-maintained with light, even toning and tight, clean stitching. The 1984 USA Baseball team was significant in the history of the Olympic Games as 1984 marked the first time baseball was included in the Olympic program, albeit as a demonstration sport. Only exhibition games had been played in previous Olympics. Team USA lost in the finals against Japan. No medals were awarded since it was a demonstration sport.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
