If you close your eyes and picture a tenacious scorer and defender patrolling the paint at Boston Garden in the 1980's as the Celtics rose to greatness once again in the NBA, it's likely Kevin McHale that you see in your mind's eye. And these may well be the shoes you conjure up with this vision, a pair of McHale's Green Converse All-Stars, adorned here with matching McHale black Sharpie autographs on the outside of each heel. The shoes show enormous game use, enough so that there is a good deal of cracking on the white padded areas of the inside along with about a 1-inch split of the leather atop the Converse logo and name on the back of the heel. That said, the shoes remain with all elements intact and largely as-issued, proudly displaying vivid and enthusiastic use by one of the most beloved players in the Celtics long and storied history.
