"The Iceman" George Gervin was one of the true giants in the American Basketball Association prior to the 1976 merger with the NBA, captivating fans first for the Virginia Squires and San Antonio Spurs, and finally at the conclusion of his career with the Chicago Bulls. Gervin averaged at least 14 points per game in all 14 of his ABA and NBA seasons, and finished with an NBA career average of 26.2 points per game. Gervin is widely regarded to be one of the greatest shooting guards in NBA history; he also has the distinction of having been a teammate with both Julius Erving and Michael Jordan. Gervin has signed this handsome Size 14 Nike Air white leather right shoe in black marker on the inside of the heel with the message "To Bill, From The Ice, Ice #44" above the Swoosh graphic and "George Gervin #44" below it. The shoe shows some game use but with all elements intact and largely as-issued, with only the slightest discoloration of the shoestrings. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bill Ficke.
