This is a great pair of shoes from Aakeem Olajuwon in the 1980's, the Basketball Hall of Famer who is considered one of the greatest centers ever to play the game. In 1993–94, he became the only player in NBA history to win the NBA MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and Finals MVP awards in the same season. In 1996, Olajuwon was a member of the Olympic gold-medal-winning United States national team, and was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. He ended his career as the league's all-time leader in blocks, with 3,830. The Pony brand shoes are in superb condition, showing excellent game use but with all elements intact and largely as-issued. Olajuwon has added personalized autographs to the consignor on each shoe, "To Bill, Akeem Olajuwon," adding his No. 34. The use of the earlier spelling of his first name dates the shoes prior to 1991 when, as a devout Muslim, he began using what he described as the proper spelling of his name with an "H." This is simply a great item from one of the key figures in the NBA at the close of the 20th century. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bill Ficke.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
