From the Julius Erving, who helped legitimize the American Basketball Association and was the best-known player in that league when it merged with the National Basketball Association after the 1975–76 season, comes this spectacular pair of "dr. J Converse All-Star game-worn and signed shoes. The only player voted Most Valuable Player in both the ABA and the NBA, Erving won three championships, four MVP Awards, and three scoring titles in his 16 years divided between the ABA's Virginia Squires and New York Nets (now the NBA's Brooklyn Nets) and the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers. He is the sixth-highest scorer in ABA/NBA history with 30,026 points (NBA and ABA combined)and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993. He has signed the shoes on the outside of each heel, penning "Julius 'Dr. J' Erving" on the left shoe and "To Bill, From Julius Erving, 76ers, #6" on the right shoe. The shoes show some game use but remain remarkably pristine and with all elements intact and largely as-issued, right down to the delicate red leather graphic components. This is a great piece in simply superb condition from one of the most revered players in NBA history. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bill Ficke.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
