This 9x8 candid photo of the Babe lying in a hospital bed is inscribed by the Bambino and reads "To my good friend Joe Abreu from Babe Ruth". The quality and vitality of Ruth's black's fountain pen writing (8-9/10) shows no evidence of his failing health, nor does the smile he bears in the image. Photo has "Acme Telephoto SF Bureau" stamped on back. There is a small 1" tear on the bottom left.
