This is an extremely attractive and high grade road offering from 1978, a year that Reggie Smith was an All-Star and the Dodgers nearly won it all, losing 4 games to 2 to the Bronx Bombers in the Fall Classic. The Size 42 has the W. Goodman & Sons manufacturer's tag located in the rear of the collar. The jersey features set-in sleeves and a six-button front. The "Set 2 '78" Year/Set tag is found in the rear of the collar as opposed to the front tail. The use and wear on this offered jersey would be considered heavy to bordering on excessive. There are Smith autographs in two locations: the back features “Reggie Smith” in black marker between the lettering and the top of the numeral 8; the front features an autograph and inscription of “Reggie Smith 1978 National League Champions.” The final grade for this jersey with MEARS Cert # number 310914 is A 8.
