Mid-Summer Classic Auction 2013

This is the last game-used glove from the Dodgers' great shortstop from the glory years in the 1970's, a Rawlings Pro 1000H model that shows enormous game use concluding with Bill Russell's final campaign with the Dodgers in 1986 after 18 seasons and 2,181 games overall, with the vast majority of those at shortstop. Given that the glove was used over several seasons, there is significant wear visible in the expected places, but the glove is still essentially as-issued and virtually problem-free. Russell has penned his autograph on the fingers in black Sharpie, adding the inscription "My Last Game Used Glove" on the next two fingers. Russell's No. 18 has been penned in green marker near the webbing.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bill Russell.
