Beautiful 1961-62 New York Knicks shooting shirt worn by rookie forward Ed Burton. After leaving Michigan State early Ed played with the Harlem Globetrotters before signing with the Knicks. During his only season in New York ED played in just 8 games and averaged 1.9 points per game. 3 years later he would have another cup of coffee in the NBA, playing 7 games with the St. Louis Hawks. Dark blue dureen shirt with orange trim at collar, arms and waist. "KNICKS" sewn across the front. 5" zipper at front of collar. Thorp Sporting Goods, 452 Fifth Ave., New York City tag sewn in front tail along with MacGregor Size 46 and washing instructions tag. Shooting shirt in great condition for the age. Nice piece of vintage New York Knicks basketball history.
