From back in the middle of the Great Depression when men were men and trophies were trophies comes this imposing 26-inch high nod to the champions of the Catholic Parish League of Pittsburgh, Pa. Most of the ornate trophy is made of a silver-finished metal, including a 10-inch in diameter basketball at the top that provides details engraved on the two main panels about the league and its 1935-36 Champion, the St. Augustine's Church Team. A stemmed pedestal of nearly 11 inches supports the basketball and in turn rests upon a 10-inch i diameter plastic oval that is encircled by a suitably complementary and ornate 2-inch band. The entire piece remains in superior, largely unblemished condition, revealing only the expected tarnishing that you might incur on a silver-like finished metal after more than 75 years.
