This is pretty neat stuff: a pair of vintage black suitcases designed for use on official Celtics road trips by the legendary John Havlicek. We know this because both black suitcases have Havlicek's No. 17 imprinted along the edge near the handle in white and the Celtics' 4-inch logo is also imprinted in white on the front, directly above absolutely stunning and enormous silver Sharpie Havlicek autographs (an 11-inch signature on the both suitcases). The larger suitcase - 25-by-19 inches - opens to reveal largely intact and decent-condition interior, albeit oddly salmon colored, which has various accoutrements designed for dress shirts and pants, including hangars and racks. That suitcase has a steel-reinforced edge and in contrast to its smaller counterpart (20-by-14 inches) shows significant wear and handling, including the expected scuffing but even some loss of fabric and a bit of a duct tape fix applied to one corner. The smaller one suitcase (presumably designed for the distaff side) like the larger one, has a combination lock, but unlike its counterpart appears to be largely unused or barely used, essentially appearing so many decades later in virtually Near-Mint and pristine condition - right down to the store tag inside.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.
