A nice complementary lot to the previous personal check from Hall of Famer Walter Johnson, this one is also drawn on The Germantown Bank in Germantown, Md., which was where "The Big Train" lived in retirement after his baseball career ended. Signed by Johnson in his attractive signature, 8/10 to 9/10; the 1939-dated check itself presents in seemingly Ex-Mt fashion, but reveals some of the often inevitable folds and occasional light staining or discoloration that would signal a different technical grade. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Johnson Family.
