Here are three really nice vintage pennants from the legendary Philadelphia Phillies Whiz Kids team that startled the baseball world in general and the Brooklyn Dodgers in particular by snatching the National League pennant with a roster that was young enough to be fairly described as "Whiz Kids." The first of the three 29-inch pennants is the red background National League Champions pennant with "Fightin' Phillies" in white under a graphic of a Phillie sliding into home. The pennant presents Ex-Mt or even better, betrayed only by the slightest loss of fabric on the back of the left edge, The rest of the pennant is outstanding, with only the slightest, virtually expected loss of some of the white silkscreening on the "1950" at the tip. A second red background pennant with a circular graphic of a batter and "Whiz Kids" below presents about Excellent, jostled only by some pinholes on the left top and bottom and "1950" hand printed on the left white trim section in ballpoint pen. The final pennant is a white background with red trim and lettering, with "Whiz Kids" and a batter graphic and "National League Champions 1950" above the iconic "Phillies" cursive lettering. This also presents about Excellent, marred only by some staining on the upper lefthand side.
