Beautiful Dieges & Clust Babe Ruth Award given to Rick Dempsey for being named the most outstanding player of the 1983 World Series. 13 1/2" by 11" oval plaque has metal baseball diamond with crossed bats and a ball at the center. In each of the 4 sections is stamped "THE BABE RUTH AWARD", "TO THE MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER OF THE 1983 WORLD SERIES", "RICK DEMPSEY BALTIMORE ORIOLES", AND PRESENTED BY THE NEW YORK CHAPTER BASEBALL WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICAN". Dempsey hit .385 in the Series with a home run and double in the deciding Game 5. On the green felt attached to the back Dempsey has written "Rick Dempsey 1983 World Series MVP" in 8-9/10 looking black felt tip pen. Magnificent award in great condition that makes an impressive wall display!
