This is the jersey and shorts from John Havlicek's 1970 stint with a touring NBA All-Star squad on behalf of the State Department. The jersey and shorts show good game use and yet were maintained - like so much of his unprecedented personal collection - in almost perfect condition for nearly a half-century. It's also one of the more unusual uniforms stylistically, with a brazenly patriotic color scheme and design of red, white and blue. "U.S.A." and "N.B.A." lettering in blue on the front of the shirt, Havlicek's name on the back and his No. 17 front and back are in blue or red tackle twill, with barely a whisper of fraying of any of the stitching visible. The Size 44 Wilson-tagged jersey and shorts have blue and/or red piping that is largely as pristine as the rest of the element; the jersey and silk shorts show good game use and are otherwise problem-free and seemingly largely as issued, with no alterations of any kind visible. The shorts have an embroidered "17" on a tag next to the waistband and adjacent to the Wilson tagging. The incomparable Havlicek autograph appears in silver Sharpie on the red tackle twill "7" on the back of the jersey. Comes with an LOA from John Havlicek.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
