The great Hall of Famer and lifetime .340 hitter George Sisler teamed up with journeyman National League outfielder Estel Crabtree to create this handsome, dual-signed baseball that originated in Sisler's personal collection. While the bona fides of Sisler are well known - .340 lifetime average, twice topping the .400 mark, 1922 MVP and 1939 Hall of Fame inductee - the profile of Crabtree is more pedestrian but not without merit. He was a .281 lifetime hitter, with 13 home runs and 142 RBI in eight seasons divided - with interruptions - between Cincinnati (twice) and St. Louis. For several years during World War II he was the oldest player in the major leagues. The baseball in question has no manufacturer's marking of any description; it is reasonably clean and without significant staining. Sisler and Crabtree signed in ballpoint on two different unconnected panels. The ball is housed in a Good condition MacGregor 97 Official League box. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Sisler Family.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
