Here then is the uniform from Rollie Fingers' final season in Oakland, the jersey and pants that put an exclamation point on a Hall of Fame career that remarkably was only at its midpoint. For a generation of fans who grew up on then widely expanded network television coverage of the postseason, this was the splashy green and gold A's home duds that brazenly announced that this was the best team in baseball. The Size 42 pullover jersey boasts the complete McAuliffe Uniform Corp. tagging on the front, including the adjacent "1976" tag, and the overall condition of the jersey could hardly be improved upon. Showing game use but an otherwise pristine presentation, the shirt is a snowy white, with little or no fraying of the stitching on the "A" on the front or on his name and number on the back. The Bicentennial Liberty Bell patch on the sleeve is similarly unmolested; the pants are a nice complement in terms of condition, with only the barest minimum of stitch fraying around the "34 26" embroidery on the waistband and minor green-paint loss on the two front snaps. The Hall of Famer has signed both elements, with a striking blue Sharpie signature appearing on the right breast and a black Sharpie autograph on the gold section of the waistband piping. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Rollie Fingers.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
