These are the Adidas cleats worn in the historic 1974 World Series by Rollie Fingers en route to nailing down the World Series MVP nod, which at that point was only the second instance when the coveted award - largely thought to be in the private domain of the starting pitcher or top slugger - had been given to a relief pitcher. The spikes show incredible game use but are still in superb condition, with laces robust and intact, Adidas tagging on the inside of each tongue and block-letter writing in a blue marker of "Rollie" and "Fingers" and his No. 34 on the tongues and "M.V.P. '74 W. Series on each heel. The most notable embellishments are blazing black Sharpie autographs (2) from Fingers on the inside front of both shoes. In a tidy coincidence, but perhaps not elevating itself all the way to irony, the shoe model is stamped "Adidas MVP." Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Rollie Fingers.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
